Association of Nigeria, FIBAN Osun State Chapter and also the 

Publicity Secretary Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria PMAN Osogbo Branch, Comrade Niyi Peters  has advised all Comedians, Bloggers, Musicians, Broadcasters and the General Public on Hate Speech following the recent bill that has been on review on HATE SPEECH.

Comrade Niyi Peters, citing the example of the 70yr old man sentenced to 18months imprisonment or an option of #30,000 fine. warns  against all videos, audios and social media posts that can be termed as insulting to Government or persons in governance  either State or Federal.

He went further to state that unverified claims should never be taken to press as it also dents the image of the Reporter.

Recently a 70 year old man was sentenced to one and half year imprisonment or option of fine. for insulting the President.  Except the man is granted amnesty , he has become an ex convict even when he settled for the option of fine.

He then states clearly that everyone should avoid any action  that will stand against one in the future. No one knows tomorrow!
