Com. Niyi Peters Sensitises Entertainers on the Implication of Hate Speech

Com. Niyi Peters Sensitises Entertainers on the Implication of Hate Speech

The Publicity Secretary of Freelance and Independent Broadcasters

Association of Nigeria, FIBAN Osun State Chapter and also the

Publicity Secretary Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria PMAN Osogbo Branch, Comrade Niyi Peters  has advised all Comedians, Bloggers, Musicians, Broadcasters and the General Public on Hate Speech following the recent bill that has been on review on HATE SPEECH.

Comrade Niyi Peters, citing the example of the 70yr old man sentenced to 18months imprisonment or an option of #30,000 fine. warns  against all videos, audios and social media posts that can be termed as insulting to Government or persons in governance  either State or Federal.

He went further to state that unverified claims should never be taken to press as it also dents the image of the Reporter.

Recently a 70 year old man was sentenced to one and half year imprisonment or option of fine. for insulting the President.  Except the man is granted amnesty , he has become an ex convict even when he settled for the option of fine.

He then states clearly that everyone should avoid any action  that will stand against one in the future. No one knows tomorrow!

NIYI PETERS THE BIG PICTURE IN LOCKDOWN AND LIFE AFTER!

COM. NIYI PETERS

THE BIG PICTURE IN LOCKDOWN AND LIFE AFTER!

In as much as COVID19 pandemic is regrettable by what it portends for inclement times , I also want to say it can also be a blessing in disguise. Brainstorming with a friend, we came to the conclusion that this is the best time to ask ourselves serious questions so as to reinvent oneself.

If you have been working for a company for more than 5yrs and you don't have 100k savings ... You need to think

If you have been doing a particular hustle for more than 5yrs and notting to show for it.. You need to think.

If you've spent one month at home under Lockdown drawing from your reserves without cash inflows from other sources......

YOU NEED TO THINK.

IF You've spent 30 days at home browsing the internet, responding to greetings in Facebook, looking up pictures in Instagram, watching YouTube videos, responding to WhatsApp chats, calling everyone and nobody is calling you.... .

YOU NEED TO THINK.

IF you've spent 30 days at home eating delicacies, drinking choice wine, sleeping, watching movies and exercising  in your gym without reading a word from any book.....

YOU NEED TO THINK

*30 days Lockdown means 720 idle hours.

*720 idle hours translates to 43,200 minutes of idle time.

*8 Man hours worktime per day translates to 240 hours lost time or capacity under utilization or inefficiency index.

Life has given us almost a month to think about our self and come out with a Grand Strategy and productive plan to stem the tide.

What we are facing now is almost the same thing retirees face when they retire and even worse.

One thing to note for sure is that, at the end of this pandemic, many businesses will suffer severe setbacks and new ones will emerge out of thick skin.

Start-Ups will swallow SMEs, Digital media will bury traditional media, Artificial Intelligence will take out unskilled labour.

Billionaires will feel the heat and new ones will need longer time to emerge.

So, ask yourself, which side will I belong to when this Lockdown is over?

Meanwhile, as we speak, most companies are also typing their own redundancy letters to be distributed .

Don't spend your time waiting for COVID-19 daily statistics and doing all manner of social media challenge.

SIT AT HOME . LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE, THINK.   STRATEGIZE   and COME OUT STRONGER

*Schools in USA and UK are not shutdown but reverted to online academics.

*The financial services sector(Wall street NASDAQ)in USA and UK are not shutdown but trading online.

Certified online courses are not shutdown but running unimpeded.

It is only in the third world that the Lockdown is considered holidays without electricity, ventilators, test kits and face masks.

The Game Changers after the Lockdown are:

Smart Thinkers.

Multi super skill innovators.

Creative inventors.

Ideas Merchants.

Cost reduction strategists.

Market share readers.

Competition induced drivers.

These boils down to the search for "HOT BRAINS" or High Level Human Capacity index cases for Strategic Turnarounds and Corporate rebound.

Think Capacity building.

Think Technology

Think Skills set innovation.

Think HighTech Agriculture.

Think the Push factor or Psychological drivers.

Think Strength Conservation. Plan: Where to be.

TIME, TASK AND TIDE DEFINES STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENT.

GOOD EDUCATION BRINGS YOU TO THIS LEVEL OF HIGH PERFORMANCE INDEX FACTOR.!

REPOSITION YOURSELF!

SUSTAINABLE CHARACTERS AT LOCKDOWN PERIOD

1.       Never take advantage of the lockdown to always ask for alms, do not suddenly turn to beggar, remember that the lockdown will soon be over but the impression lives on.

2.       Do not feel too big or ashamed to ask for alms or assistance if you truly need help, problem shared is half solved, so speak out and do not suffer in silence.

3.       Do not look down on anyone that asks you for an alms, be your brother's keeper. Let us live for each other.

4.        Never feel bad if a particular person turn you down for help, you never can tell what he or she is passing through too, remember not to judge a person by his/her appearance, don't judge a book by its cover.

5.       Learn to manage what you have now, and teach your children and loved ones living with you to do so. It is not compulsory to take three square meals, you wouldn't die if you don't, be disciplined.

6.       If you are in a position to help a fellow, do not wait until he/she asks. Do it with joy as unto the Lord Jesus Christ.

7.       Start thinking of what you can begin to do from home that can fetch you legitimate money; poultry, business etc. Remember that it may take awhile even after the lockdown to get back to normal financial stand.

8.        It is not a time to begin to apportion blame to government or fellow human being. Do not nag, control your anger and emotions and runaway from crimes. Let us take responsibility together for a better future.

9.        Work on your state of mind; be positive, keep hope alive; remember that this too will soon pass away.

10.    Exercise your body, do it in your room or compound. Keep fit, remember that you still have a beautiful life to live after the lockdown.

11.    Never allow the lockdown to take away your happiness, happiness is a choice. Let the joy of the Lord be your strength.

12.    Stay safe with your family; pray, study the Bible and play together. Remember that the family that prays together stays together.

13.   Focus on the Lord Jesus Christ, remember that He is the author and finisher of your faith.

Peace!. Stay safe and stay blessed
